Busy...

Working on so many things today! Besides the laundry and ironing, i've been busy with reorganising our house and preparing myself for the upcoming market(s). My list:
  • making a photo album with pictures of my paintings and other creations (for the market)
  • price all my creations
  • wrapping my creations
  • updating my website
  • making pictures of my latest creations
  • stashing all my stuff into boxes (this way i can see if it's fits, because i want to take those boxes to the market)
  • still no stickers/businesscards
  • i still have to finish or make a few things like: keycords, bhedawool birds and fabric owls
  • i'm also making a little weekly book for our baby boy (peeks soon)
As you can see a long list, so i will get back to work!

20 weeks

Hi! Yesterday i was exactly 20 weeks ❤
I can't believe how fast it's going!
Yesterday we went back for another ultra-
sound and this time we could see everything!
So... we finally know! We're expecting a little
baby boy ❤ We're sooo excited and happy!

The last few days i have been crafting down-
stairs. I just love crafting downstairs, but i
totally understand that it's kinda messy
and that Harold doesn't really like it.

I cleaned it all up & are doing my crafting
at the attic again (along with all my stuff!)

My sweetie is home and we're going to
watch a movie! I will be back later or
tomorrow to show you my latest crafts!
What are you up to this weekend?

XOXO Vera

I just love rain...

Hello sweet blogreaders! Glad that you've joined me for today :) I just made this post over at the birds blog, have fun reading!

It has been raining for 2 days here in the Netherlands. At some places there has fallen as much rain as usually in a month! Altough the rain can do a lot of damage, it's also very beautiful and inspiring! I made a little collection of pictures that i like and that makes me smile :) All pictures were found at weheartit! Next week i will do a DIY, where we are going to fold boats. So go and get that folding paper out of the cupboard or another place where you have stashed it :)

I will be back to show you a few of my
latest crafts! XO. Vera

good & ?

Yay the ultrasound yesterday was great! Head, eyes, legs, feet, arms, fingers, all is looking good! I't sooo amazing to have a little baby growing inside of you. But i must say that our baby really has a mind of it's own! The first ultrasound the echographist couldn't see anything from the outside. When we finally saw it she could make a few peeks and then the baby turned it's back at us lol Last night the baby was lying very deep down and also 'folded' itself so that the echographist and we, couldn't see everything. I will have to make a new appointment for another ultrasound. This way she can check the organs, back and hopefully we will then discover if it's a he or she! So the story continues...

Today i went for a coffeedate/lunch to a friend and just got back. I really have to wash my curtains & then i will be doing some crafting! I just wanted you to see this amazing owl bag, that i saw over at Ambers blog. It was in a crochet magazine! I totally would love to make one myself ❤

Have a great tuesday! XO

Is it a boy or a girl?

image found here

Tonight we're going to make another
ultrasound of our baby! It's the one
that's always made when you are about
20 weeks pregnant. Hopefully we'll be
able to see if it's a boy or girl!!
Excited!!! XO.

Today...

I don't remember where i found this
picture, but it's amazing!

I'm off to drink coffee with my mom :)
Have a great monday! XO.

It's just one of those days..

Hello! This sunday it's sticky weather and it's not really pleasent to sit in my craftspace (without sweating). I really tried spending some time upstairs, but it's just one of those days that nothing seems to work... time for a break i guess! I am enjoying my lazy sunday :)

knitted tree

Hi :) I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Yesterday it was such a beautiful day, that i found it a waste if i would sit inside all day behind my sewingmachine. So instead i did some crochet sitting in the garden. I made headbands, bracelets and new candleholders, all with hoooked zpagetti. When i was reading a magazine my eye fell on the website of Nordic Wool (a Dutch website) The only sell wool from Norway and Sweden that's 100% natural (no acryl or polyester). The also do projects all around their town Leiden by decorating all sorts of things, like this tree for example. Wanne see more peeks look here

Plans for the weekend (and after)
- making pictures of my latest products
- upload them to my website and price them
- develop a cute business card
- develop a logo for stickers
- make an selection for my promobook of all my handmade creations
- hopefully some sewing!

So you see enough to do ;) What are you up to?

DIY -restyle your empty bottles or jars-

Oh my how the day flew by! I did a lot of house thingies and sorted out my 'mess' and believe me that was really necessary. I haven't been sewing yet and that was orginal the plan for this afternoon... oh well there's always tomorrow ;) I just posted this diy (yep again you are lucky, i also posted it here) at our lady bird blog. It's time for me to make some dinner!

I have a lot of empty bottles from juices or jars that were filled with food. Usually we through them away in special glass containers, but before i through them away i always look if they can be used as a little vase. I keep the pretty shaped ones and although i like them just the way they are, it's also nice to give them some color from time to time! And this is how we are going to do this today...

DIY -restyle your empty bottles or jars-

Step 1 supplies
You will need:
-an empty bottle or jar
- some pretty papers
-buttons (medium or big)
- scrapbook flowers in different colors
-raffia, yarn, lace
-double sided tape
-siccors

Step 2
I used pretty Japanese paper that i usually
use for origami. See if your paper fits the
bottle. If not cut the piece off that you don't need.

Step 3
Use your doublesided tape and secure it
on the back of the paper, like this. Take

step 4
You can choose to do your bottle
half with paper or all round.
If you want to make it all round,
you can do that at once if your paper
is big enough or in 2 parts (like i did).
Make sure that they are at the same
height, by starting were you've
ended.

Step 5
Make a little flower just for decoration.
I used a piece of lace that i normally use for
making necklaces :) Pull it through the flower
and then the button. Confirm it on the bottle
were you like and make a knot.

Step 6
You're done!

If you want to use it as a vase,
be careful when you put water in it!!
It's still paper and it would be a pitty
if it got wet ;)

Did i inspire you enough to make one of your own?

XO. Vera

My new friends wants to say hi!

Hi I'm 'little apple owl', pleased to meet you :)
I have applefabric on the front and red polkadot fabric
on my back. I really hope Vera is planning to make a
a little family for me :)

Today i took a break from the stuff that i need
to sort out, sell, give to charity or toss away.
Here is our beautiful cupboard that we're
planning to sell :( We really don't have any room
for it anymore. I thought about using part of it
as a dresser for the baby. But who wants to buy
half of a cupboard?

Ehh and yes this is part of the 'mess' that came out!
All this stuff is still on our dinnertable at least for
one more day ;)

I'm gonna make a friend for my
little apple owl :) And for the rest
i'm not doing much today, i've decided
to have a chill day....

kind hearted blogger pledge

A while ago i stumbled across this kind hearted blogger pledge and i so love this idea! That's why i've decided to join in ❤
AS A KIND-HEARTED BLOGGER I PLEDGE TO:

create, inspire, and admire rather than compete with fellow bloggers
be understanding of each other-- in the blogging community, as well as in the world
stay away from internet/blogging bullying
speak my opinion freely, while still being mindful of other's feelings-- be tactful.
make an effort--no matter how big or small the gesture, to spread kindness or joy to others
acknowledge that I will make mistakes, (I am only human) but remember to learn from them
know that at times I will post about the negative stuff in life, and maybe even some complaining (I am only human) but I will always follow up with something happy/positive too.
believe that this world is a good place, filled with good people.

Want to read more about it? Look over at Jo_Annie's blog here
Share the love ❤

more crochet creations ❤

The last few days i've been busy with doing all sorts of things at the same time, but that really gives me a headache! That's why i want to make a schedule for myself from day to day. It's kinda weird because for the last three years i always worked on monday and tuesday (and before that 5 days) and now i don't have to anymore. I love being at home, working for my own business Seni with love that's developing, making things for the markets, cleaning out our future babyroom and preparing myself for our baby ❤

YAY, i finally finished my first
crochet bag (it really took me a few hours)

made new crochet headbands with flower

headband with matching bracelet

I ordered a few more colors at hoooked
zpagetti, this way i can variate more :)

The list that i was talking about yesterday is going well, gladly!!
I will make some peeks tomorrow from my mess that
i'm sorting out (and believe me that's a lot!!). I keep moving
up and down the stairs with stuff that needs to get a new
place somewhere in our house. Half of the dinnertable is full
with vases, candleholders, pretty plates... OMG i can't believe
how much stuff i have!! That's also why i've decided to sell
part of my books and dvd's. And so far i've sold 4 books :)

Okay off to make my list :)
What are you up to?

Hi!

Hi! I made my 18 week picture last saturday xD

I will be making a short post today or else i'll be surfing on the internet for a while and i really have some things on my list for today! A few things are already done :) One of the things that i like to get started with is my sewing online class! It started almost one week ago, but i haven't done any assignements yet. That's because of my nephew's sleepover and when he left, i really had to spend some time with 2 girlfriends. With one of them ik went to see 'Eclipse'. Yesterday Harold and i finally had the whole day to ourselves and enjoyed that very much ❤

I'm going back to my to do list
and tell you tomorrow if i finished it xD

Have a lovely day!
