Such a cute project to make yourself or to make with your kids on a rainy afternoon :) If your child has problems sleeping you should defenitely make one together! If you're planning on doing this DIY with your kids i would recommend to do so with kids that are about 9 years old. It also depends on the craft level of your child, if you know what i mean ;) Coming thursday i have planned to do a DIY project for smaller kids over at the birdsblog. The childeren can make the dreamcatcher themselves with a few easy steps and save material.
For the DIY of today you will need:
-wire
-yarn
-beads
-feathers

Use your wire to make a round shape and cut
off what you don't need. Wrap the yarn around.

Once your circle is ready wrap your yarn
around like this. Make a knot in the beginnin' and
go round. I used a different color, but if you like
it otherwise.. just do so!

After one round you go further the same way
as you did only now you pull your yarn
through the already made loops.
And so you will make many rounds...
If you run out of yarn just make a knot on the end
and go on. If you like to add beads decide where you
want them and just pull the yarn through (they will stay put)

Make sure you don't leave your yarn just 'hanging'
it has to be tight! Once you have reached the centre
pull your yarn tight and make a knot in the middle.

And then it looks like this ;)
Cut some pieces of yarn and tie
them on the bottem. Select the feather you
would like to use and make a knot so that
they are
and tada!!!

Hang your dreamcatcher anywhere
you like!

I hope you liked it!
I also found this great page
with a description of how to make
If you still have questions, just ask!
Soooo goooo to work & have fun xD
