Queensday

It's Queensday today in the Netherlands. We're celebrating the birthday of our Queen Beatrix. If you like to know more about the history and this celebration look here.

The Dutch colors are: red, white and blue and off course ORANGE!! So there will be a lot of orange today. Everybody has a day off and there are jumble sales all over the country :) I just got back from the one that i life near. Yesterday we had a super wonderful sunny day and today it's raining :( Gladly it will be getting dry in the afternoon. It's so much better when the sun shines :D You can buy all sorts of things at the jumble sales & also eat lots and drink a beer if you like ;)

I wanted to make pictures myself, but because of all the rain i couldn't. So happy with the internet... just google and ta da..some pretty pictures of my little village in the city :)

On Queensday i always eat an tompouce. That's a typical Dutch thingie look here, there's even an explanation about it on wikipedia :) Normally the top of this delight is pink, but especially forQueensday it's orange :)

pimp your tshirt :)

Yesterday was a louzy day, everything went wrong... You know those days that when you open the faucet water splashes into your face, the sewingmachine get's stuck, you make a hole in your tshirt :P At the end of the day i decided to go and sit outside, with my book and a glass of Prosecco :) Despite off all i did manage to pimp two tshirts :D I had a simple black and aqua tshirt and wanted to add something pretty on them. The black tshirt got a pretty fabric heart with a cute little bow :) On the aqua tshirt i've worked with a special marker that you can use on clothes. I made the dessign myself by drawing necklaces with little bows :) When Harold got home i showed them to him. He thought i just bought them in the store, how cute is that :) No honey i've made them myself :D

I made this scrapbook page today, but the 'mood' really belongs to yesterday ;)

We're going out for dinner with friends tonight,

really looking forward to it xD

this is the restaurant we're going to eat :)

Just had a louzy day at work..

you know just one of those days,

that you are happy to be home :)

So now it's time for something that makes me smile!!

I just began on my first pages from the 'Tell

your story" online class & i'm already

working on my second page. It's was a good decision to

join the class at the last moment :D

It's to dark now to make any peeks, but don't

worry i will show them to you ;)

When i was young i really wrote a lot

down in all my diaries.

The last few years i haven't wrote

at all ... but since i've worked

with the book 'the artists

way' i do it more often :)

I love making lists of dreams, random

facts, to do lists, goals etc

I always enjoy starting a new and fresh

little cute book...

So for now i leave your with some

Yesterday & today i really was into my

cute journal class

Just a quickie on this saturdaymorning before we leave to visit Harolds' mom who is celebrating her birthday today :) I just finished following the Indie Business class from Red Velvet Art & before that styleschool & found it superdoeper inspirational!! After these classes i felt like i was ready for a little break and not follow any online classes. This way i would have time for plenty of other things. But this morning i decided to join :D I haven't journaled in a long time & i really love too :D If i feel like doing other things, no problem (the class stays up for a one year). Just relax and enjoy Vera ;)

Hello on this beautiful and sunny friday morning :)

Yesterday i made a post all about moustaches &

(sun)glasses. I felt inspired by both so that's why

i made the picture above this morning :D

1 i love to collect little Nijntjes (from the Bruna)

5 we got married at Bonaire &

i had a orange wedding dress :)

we got married here on the beach :)

I'm gonna go to the gardencentre in a bit to buy a present for my father. He's celebrating his birthday this evening, but he's real birthday is tomorrow. He and Harolds mom are both born at 24th of April, unbelievable right ha ha xD So this evening we're celebrating my fathers birthday & tomorrow we'll be celebrating the birthday of Harolds mom. They predict beautiful weather for the weekend with temperatures about the 20 degrees, so hopefully we'll have a little gardenparty :) I will be back Sunday to draw the winner of my cute giveaway! I love everything about it, the dress, the wall and the drawings are so so so pretty!
