Sooooo want spring!!

Hi :)
I am glad that you enjoyed the post below about my craftspace :) A lot of you felt inspired, so if you do change your craftspace let me know!! I would love to see peeks :) The last few days i have done a lot! Friday we went to see Avatar 3D & totally loved it!! If you haven't seen it yet, do go to the movies and watch the 3D version! Here are some images that i found on the internet! I love how the forest turns into a magical place at night...

I always like to craft, but Style School really gives it an extra boost! I feel really inspired & love to try new things. That will keep you motivated to craft :) The ideas that i get & then making it your own, that's the trick ;) Sooooo the ideas are from Style School, but this is how i made it my own :)

first things first: the material

I made two crochet headbands &
i made these cute little
yarnbowls on stick!

The purple & green is in the livingroom &
the blue/green/white one is up in my craftspace :)

i made this colored cover
you can put pencils in :)

This is how it looks, when it's
not around my notebook!

the inside of my notebook...

It's really winter time here in the Netherlands... the snow keeps coming! Snow is pretty, but i really can't wait for spring :) I found some spring pretties to colour your day with a little sunshine!

They look real, don't they?!
They are made with paper!
If you like to see how look here

If i could sign up for doing this i would!
For now it's the couch & some (hot) tea :)

My craftspace

hi! Hope your having a wonderful day :) I wanted to show you my craftspace for a while now & so here it is... ta da!! I made pictures today, but it's very difficult with the light in here. I find it weird, because it isn't dark inside. When i was making this post i looked back at some old pictures of my craftspace & i took those peeks during the spring and summer. I think those pictures look a lot better, so i posted both. At one old peek the wall is pink, but now it's green. I do feel like my craftspace is really to full, so i am really busy to reorganise all my creative 'stuff'. But now you can have a look at it as it is now :)

Please enter..

as you walk in on your left i have a
painting from Monet
& a collection off my paint!

Still on the left side:
My inspirationcorner :)
first it was pink!

Now it's green!
This photo was taken a few months ago..

this is how it looks now..

I made this pretty little boxhouse!

My desk (is really really to full!!)

And here is my bookcase (with ladder)

And here it is.. my new sewingmachine :)

I made these stamps & planning to make more!

I hope you enjoyed looking around in my craftspace :)
Tomorrow i am going to see Avatar 3D &
i am planning on a crafty weekend, yay!!

bows bows bows bows...

I always loved bows... but somehow i forgot about them. It started with the pink one (see peek below) that i bought at RVA & since then i'm in love again :) I made the rest of these bows myself and let me tell you it's addictive :D As promised i would show you my first attempt with making something with the sewingmachine and ta ta here it is... my make up bag!! I really loved how it turned out! And believe it or not but my sewingmachine can make bows, just choose number 97 and let the sewing begin! I made a line with bows on the purple ribbon from my make up bag... ohhh soooo pretty :) Me like!!

i made 4 holes with my crop-a-dile, so that
nothing can fall out of the bag & then i added
a shiny purple ribbon to finish:)

I found this pretty webpage where they have a
tutorial where they make these pretty bows! Look here

all found at weheartit.com

aww a pretty weddingdress with a bow :)

Soo looking forward to tomorrow,
because we are going to see Blof (a Dutch band)
one of my favorite bands, yay!!
Have a great Sunday!

Studio inspiration board & bows

I am sooo happy with my new sewingmachine!! I have been working on it today & lovin' it!! I'm working on my cosmetic bag, so you will have to wait until Sunday to see what i have made. Tomorrow i have a course for school & that's gonna take all day. I'm taking it with my friend Karin, so that's gonna be fun! When we are done we're going out for dinner, yay!! Really lookin' forward to it :)

Yesterday i made this inspiration board for my studio. I used a big canvas that i painted turquoise. Then i added two pieces of black chalkboard adhesive foil. I made two holes on top and with ribbon & tight the clips on the canvas with a nice little bow. A few buttons in the corners, butterfly brads and green pompomyarn. I am really happy with the result :) I hope the photo is okay, because when i finished it began to get dark!

I just love bows!
Elsie had a great tutorial about making them, you
should check it out here!

I just want to sit outside again....
how long before the winter is over??

Sooo i am off to bed, long day tomorrow ;)
Wishing you all a lovely day/weekend!
XOXO

Sewingmachine!!

YAY!!! I finally found some time to 'shop' for my first sewingmachine :) Before we went to the shop i did a little internet research & that helped! I bought this pretty sewingmachine today & getting it tomorrow!! Can't wait :)

For Style school we had to make a pompom necklace. Instead i made a pompom keycord :) I was in desperate need of one!! I keep on surching in my bags for my keys & hopefully now i will have them in a flash :)

Just some sewing inspirated peeks!

all found at weheartit

For me it's goodnight now :)
Wishing you a sweet day or sweet dreams!

Mandala's & mediation

Hi! The last few days i have been busy with all sorts of things and i had planned some crafting time for today, but then my husband and i decided to move the furniture around :) It's much better now, but we still have to move the lamp, buy a new table, put the painting on the other wall etc. So we will be busy for a while ;) I haven't craft much over the last few days, but planning to this week! Sooo a little different post today then usual, i hope you like it!

A few years ago i followed the course mandala drawing & i loved it! I made a few mandala's myself, even painted one! Then we got busy with our new house & getting married, that it sort off moved to the background. I'm beginning to miss it and thinkin' about following another course. I don't know if you're familiar with mandala's? The word mandala comes from the ancient language Sanskrit and it means circle. It's a ancient 'tool' that was used for meditations. By making them you get relaxed. Mandala's aren't only in Tibet and India, but they're all over the world in all culturs. They mostly have a religious goal or being used for meditations.
When i was a student i made my thesis about this subject. I wanted to know what the effect on the childeren was. I played a relaxing cd in the class and all the childeren coloured a mandala or made one themselves. Childeren enjoyed this very much, they became much more relaxed and their concentration was much better after :) If you like to know just leave a comment. You can also find a lot of information in books and at the internet. Have fun :)

all made by me :)

Some pretty mandala's that i found on the internet...

As for me... I started daily meditations at the beginning of december, but some how i stopped last week for a few days. After a few days i started to miss it, so i am back on my mediation pillow every day. I really need it to clear my head & feel relaxed (lettin' go of the daily things)!

If you have kids or work with kids i can reccoment this book 'Relax kids' from Marneta Viegas! It's full of childeren's meditations. I used it my class reguarly when i noticed that the class needed relax time. Some childeren even used it at home when they couldn't sleep (how sweet it that :)) Make it a little rituale when they go to bed....

I'm off on my magic carpet for today :)
Love,
Vera
