making your own christmaspaper

Hi everyone :)

No comments yet on the post below... a lot off you out there a probable busy with Halloween :) We do not really celebrate this in the Netherlands, but we do celebrate St Maarten. At St Maarten (11 november) the childeren walk the streets in the neighbourhood with little lanterns and ususally pay a visit to everyone (sort trick or treat) and sing on your doorstep.

Back to the xmas ideas :) I deciced that i will show you idea 1 already!

Idea 1 Make your own Xmas wrappaper!
Really easy! Usually i don't take the time to make any and i just end up buying giftpaperrolls (those are really cute too). This year i want to start early, so everything will be ready in time.

Before you start making anything... look everywhere in your house, crafting space, drawers... for nice papers, ribbon, stamps, punches, stickers, left over giftpapers etc. You usually have more then you think ;)

There are lots of ways to make your own xmas paper. You can draw, stamp, glue, use your punches, ribbon etc everything you like :) You can use thick paper or printing paper in every color. I love handmade paper. I always buy this, because it's a lot of work to do it all yourself. If you do want to make your own, you can add glitter, flowers to them :)

1 Xmas paper made with stamps, gluepen & glitter

I made this with a stamp & green ink

i made this with a stamp & black ink

i used a quickie glue pen to draw & then added glitter

ta da... your done!

2 Xmas paper made with your punch
Punch hearts, stars, snowflakes etc and glue them to the paper you want to use. You can use silver, gold paper as punchpaper that makes it more shiny & bright :) Don't throw the punched paper away, but tape them together and you have a decoration to add later!

3 Xmas paper by embroidery
Embroider ribbon to your paper by hand or with your sewingmachine. You can add as many ribbon as you like & make it your party :) If you like you can also add little beads (see at 4).

4. Xmas paper made with lefties
I found a lot in my crafting space! Lot's of (Christmas) stickers, (glitter) beans, beads, felt, foam. You can choose to make all of this before or after you packed your gift. Sometimes it's difficult to say how much paper you will need and it's a pity if you have to cut half off :(

Enjoy your Xmas wrapping!

Are you interested in making nice presents and how to wrap them in different ways? If you are, leave a comment below... because i want to start a weekly inspired update until Christmas about making little gifts & wrapping them :)

Paintings :)

Hi!

Before i go out to diner with my sweet husband :), a quick post...

I am loving the paintings from Eveline Bouwkamp for a while now. She's a colourful Dutch painter. I am saving to buy such a beautiful painting some day :) Below i have a few peeks of her work. She paints images of Utrecht which i really love, but she also paints other things. If you like you can take a look at her website http://www.1001kleuren.nl/

cloudy days need cloudy cuteness

I have a sudden obsession with clouds, that started last night...
When i was little my whole room was pink & white and i had the cutest curtains in pink with little white clouds... aren't i the dreamy girl ;)

I made this cute little hanger with felt, ribbon and i did some embroidery work. You can hang a few cards on the ribbon. I like it so much that i am going to make some more in different colors, yay!

Today's blog is all about clouds, i did some internet surfing and found some sweet cloudness. Hope you like it as much as i do :)

You can't hug clouds, but if you could wouldn't you?! I know i would. Today we have a really big grey cloud hangin' over here (outside)! But inside it's warm, cozy and full of sunshine (or was it my lamp?? ha ha) I am going to drink a big mug of green tea :) Wishing you a warm & lovely day! XO

ps just a little peek i found on the internet made by kids, sweeeet :)

If you like to make your own, look here!

A little while ago i discovered Nina in vorm, she's a Dutch designer. The funny thing is that i read about her in a few homedecoration magazines, she also was in the Ikea magazine. And then i found her on flickr and etsy. Okay i will admit.. i really buy to much home decoration/design magazines :) but you see what cuteness that brings ;) Here a two images from the collection. If you like, there's a link to her blog and also to her etsy shop!

Hope you enjoyed this little post! xoxo

Tired and magical satisfied

The last few weeks i have been busy with work, the RVA class and Seni with love. The creative things give me energy and happiness, but work on the other hand mostly doesn't. So sometimes you have to pull the plug a little and that's what i did. And believe me, that's always difficult for a perfectionist like myself. But it keeps getting better :)

I am really happy that we're having a week off from work! In the Netherlands we have autumn vacation, that means we're a week off (not all of us, but the schools and kids... so also the teachers yay). We're also going away to Sauerland (Germany) for a few days, really looking forward to it!

Just a little cuteness to share before i go to bed..

Thunderstorm coming..

Today i cleaned a lot, sorted things out and that gifs me a good feelin'. You know what they say.. tidy in the head, tidy in house ha ha. I brought some paintings, hangers and notebooks that i made to the childeren's shop today. Here a few things..
