homemade

Hi! Feeling sooo happy today.
I noticed that during my summerholiday i sort off dropped everything. It was a full and busy schoolyear and i was happy that i could finally relax. A few years ago i worked fulltime and that was really heavy. This is going to be my 4th year working parttime and i enjoy it sooo much :D Sometimes it's difficult because you have to work together with someone else and do things by mutual agreement. When you work at a school, prepear yourself that you have to come back a lot. Decoration night, rapportevenings, follow a course (read 10).. bla bla. So during the vacation i enjoyed not working and loved reading my books, sitting in the garden, visiting some people, go to the beach, sleeping, enjoyed my free days with my husband, go shopping and our trip to Texel. Normally i would paint and make other stuff for Seni with love (my own productionline), but i just couldn't. I was tired and empty headed if you know what i mean :(

I started working last monday, so tomorrow will be my second week. I am now feeling energetic and full of ideas. So much ideas that i can't make them all in one day! I spend today at my rainbow attic and i just loved it. I feel so happy :D Making cute things again in my own style :D

hope you're having a lovely & inspired sunday to!

Love,
Vera

hey you

Just wanted to say hi and share something with you!
About a year ago i read and worked with the book the artist's way.
I don't know if you know that book, so i will explain a little ;)
The book provides a 12-week course that guides the reader through the process of recovering their creative self.
It aims to dispel the "I'm not talented enough" conditioning that tends to hamper the creativity of many people.

It was fun, meaningfull and sometimes difficult. For example there was an assignement during the proces, that i wasn't allowed to read. Or in other words i wasn't allowed to watch tv, read books... soooo also no computer! I began to notice that i did other things during the day and evening. I enjoyed the silence, went for a walk, worked in the garden, and... yes... i felt much more creative :D I think i will repeat this for myself in a while..

If you worked with the book or have something you want to share please do :D

Amsterdam XOXO

Hi,

Yesterday i went to Amsterdam with my best friend Luus. We've known each other since we were 13 years old. Sooo we've been friends for 18 years :D I love having her as a friend, because we can talk about everything and be open. It's nice to have someone who really knows you. We can laugh, cry and have serious and not so serious conversations. We have never been on vacation together until summer 2008! We traveled together to Valencia (Spain). The 5 days we spent there we're great :D LOVE YOU! Thanks for being in my life :D

Just wanted to say something sweet to her... but back to our day in Amsterdam :D I visit Kitsch Kitchen! I wanted to go to that store for a few years now and i finally did, yay! They started a few years ago on the market, but everything went so well that they have opened a store and are selling there things all over the Netherlands. Sort of plastic heaven! If you want you can take a look at their website http://www.kitschkitchen.nl/ (you can choose your language). A few things they sell:

I made some pictures for you guys to get some impressions of our wonderful-sunny-happy -Amsterdam- day :D

autumn online class

Two times... a blog thingie today :D I came home from our little trip to Texel (see below) and almost ran up the stairs to my computer! I wanted to be sure of a spot in this online class :D I joined the one before and loved it so much that i really didn't want to miss this one. I love the summer and plan to enjoy these last summerdays, but can't wait to start with this autumn online class. Hope to 'meet' some people again witch joined before and new creative people :D

Didn't sign up? Check out the RVA site or the blogs of elsie or rachel!

See ya XOXO

Texel

We're just back from our trip to Texel. In the Netherlands we have 5 islands, wich are really very beautiful. If your planning a trip to the Netherlands it's so great if you can visit Texel or Terschelling (my favs)

We were there for 5 days to visit our family. Harold's brother, wive and two kids are living there and we saw them last in may. Lovely days filled with: eating outside, outings to the beach, swim, read, laugh....

Relax (with a few drups of rain)

cottage look

kitchen garden (would love to have one)

let's fly a kite

We played Tumblin Monkeys. But this game is called: How much can we put in Vera's hair?

We had really lovely days :D

love the beach

Yesterday we went to Kijkduin, a beach near Scheveningen. I love to go to the beach! It smells so nice, love the sound of the waves & walking in the sand with your feet. It makes me feel relaxed and there is so much space around you! We went with my brother Peter and his girlfriend Ellen. We had a great time! I also played volleybal. I played volleybal for about 11 years, but i stopped a few years ago. It was a good decision at the time, but i still miss it. It felt really good to play again!

Bought these today, cute aren't they?!
